Direction - a course along which someone moves.

Here’s a path. A set of lines. Sure and steady. Steadfast, in ink. This is the station, and this is the gate—your train will be at track nine. Estimated travel time: one hour, ten minutes. Do you have your ticket?
Here’s a path. A set of lines. If you had gotten your driver’s license, you wouldn’t know the train schedules as well as you do—but it is what it is. You must stay on track. Remember, you have a destination.
Here’s a path. A set of lines. This is the map to get to the next stop. Did you pack your toothbrush? Your stationary? Say your goodbyes, promise to write. Remember, you have a destiny—
“WAIT. Where exactly am I going?”
You Are Here is a multimedia exploration of place and presence, direction and distance, friendship and fate. What holds us back? What propels us forward? And what can we carry with us?
Off Schedule
OFF THE RAILS!!!
"What if I refused to keep moving?"
Hmm?
"What if I got off at this stop and stayed here?"
Now why would you do that?
"I've been making friends. And I'm sick of leaving people behind."
You will have to say goodbye anyway. You will go on first, or they will. But that is what people do. They move forward.
"...It's not fair."
How so?
"..."
The human heart has an infinite capacity for love, and you cannot take it out of your chest when you leave the love behind. Do you find it unfair that all of time and space is not compiled into a single point, where every part of your heart can exist in one complete moment? Is it unfair, in your eyes, that you cannot put every home you have made, every joy that you have found, every person that you love into one dot on the map, so you can hold it all in the palm of your hand?
You can have more love, and a bigger map, and a fuller life. Or you can stay still.
"And there's no middle ground?"
There is the line, and there is empty space. You may pick one.
"...But that's not true."
Hmm?
"The steady line, or the empty space? That's not true at all. I know there's more. I'm an artist."
The other way is harder.
"Tell me."
You can take it with you.
"How?"
Get a bigger backpack.
"But it will be heavy."
And it will make you stronger to carry it.
"You said the human heart has an infinite capacity for love."
Yes. You are selfish creatures that way.
"Does that mean I have an infinite carrying capacity?"
